Las Damas de Baxter is a women’s support group for Baxter. Chapters have begun in different cities in the US and Honduras over the last 32 years. Each one operates independently of the other, but one common goal to assist financially and spiritually Baxter.
The first Damas chapter began in July 18, 1982 in the house of Kate Howard in Nashville, TN. In the first gathering 49 women came together; that number grew to 150. It was centered in the Vultee congregation for many years.
If you want to know more about the history of this wonderful group you can contact Annabelle Lawrence: alawrence408@gmail.com.
In February 18, 2007, a Damas chapter met in Huntsville, TX for the first time with 22 women present. Dorothy Price, wife of board member Frank Price, was chosen as its first president. They have worked to organize luncheons and raise funds for Baxter. They have worked hard to equip the classes of the students with necessary materials. One can contact this chapter through Diane Harris : dianeharris25@yahoo.com
For four decades Las Damas have done much to improve Baxter and insure that this is the best learning experience for these future preachers and missionaries
