We are a ministry of the Church of Christ and serve in the following areas.
Academic
For 62 years, Baxter Institute has provided ministerial and theological training in a Latin American context.
Clinic
The clinic provides medical, dental, and counseling services to over 13,000 patients each year.
Nutrition Program
Clinics and hospitals refer underweight children to the Baxter Clinic, and if they are admitted to the program.
Hope to Walk
When the primary household earner or caregiver looses a limb, it often begins a lifelong struggle for the whole family. Hope To Walk help many adults and children who need prosthetic devices.
Short-Term Missions
Baxter welcomes mission groups! You may be coming here with a medical brigade, to work on our campus and at the Clinic, or to set up a mobile clinic in one of the neighborhoods of Tegucigalpa.

Currently, our students participate in 23 mission groups in Latin American countries such as Mexico, Colombia, and Bolivia.

Baxter Institute’s sole purpose for existence is to prepare it’s students to become preachers, teachers, missionaries, and leaders among churches of Christ throughout the Spanish-speaking world.

The Baxter Institute community welcomes students from various countries, who are preparing in theological and ministerial areas to spread the gospel in Latin America. Likewise, its faculty is made up of professors of different nationalities, led by the academic dean Guadalupe Mayo from Mexico.
